Faith Based Breakfast
The St. Clair County Youth
Coalition hosted a Faith Based Breakfast on October 21, 2004. The
Faith-Based Breakfast had no registration fee and was held at Our Lady of the
Snows Shrine. Participants enjoyed breakfast while representatives from
the Youth Coalition's DMC project, the Youth Coalition's Clinical Committee,
CHASI, Chestnut Health Systems, Illinois Family Partnership Network, Kids
Hope United, and Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House presented information
concerning the services available for youth in our area, gaps in services for
youth in our area and needs the Faith Based community could fill regarding these
youth.
A special
thanks to Chestnut Health Systems, Child Advocacy Center, Girl Scouts, Illinois
Family Partnership Network, Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House, and the St.
Clair County Mental Health Board for lending valuable staff members to help
organize this project.

Vahlkamp-Anderson
from the Child Advocacy Center and Katie Morin from the Youth Coalition signed in
participants and passed out information.

Ted Baugh from the Youth Coalition welcomed all attendees and
introduced Reverend Sam Harris for
the Invocation.

Participants bowed their heads as Reverend Sam Harris gave the
Invocation.

Bill Kreeb from Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House introduced panelists and
served as the moderator for the discussion.
